I was prompted to encourage a friend today who shared that she was having a heavy heart about some matters. I, too, have experienced that feeling recently as some rather chaotic things have been going on around me with friends and their relationships with one another. In the middle of MY firestorm, I was impressed by the Spirit that I was incredibly privileged to be “invited” to be in that place and time.

In fact, my heart moved from heavy, to buoyed, to overjoyed at the realization that my involvement was an appointment by God.

– HE decided to have this series of events cross MY path.
– HE appointed ME to be available to hear friends’ rants, frustrations, and struggles.
– HE appointment ME (really, me?) to be their filter between truth and emotion, between personal attack, and philosophical differences, between selfish pursuit, and screaming insecurities.

So, upon that realization, the acceptance that I had been selected for this place and time, I became joyful at the honor, privilege, and overwhelming responsibility that HE has bestowed upon me.

So, how does that help you? Well, maybe you’re in a place of chaos. Maybe it’s chaos of your own creation, or maybe it’s the chaos that is the life of others that you love and care for. In either case, hear my prayer below, originally written for a friend in just such a place, and let God show YOU why HE has put YOU right where you are!

“Praying for your heart to be buoyed by the knowledge that YOU have been CHOSEN by God for this time and place. Your experience in charitable work, your concern for others, and your D R I V E now become a blessing to those closest to you! Rejoice today that God has prepared you, and HONORS you by letting you play a role in what HE is up to!”

May only HE be magnified in our pursuits, struggles, and helps toward others today!
